Behold! The World's Cheapest Car!

India's Ratan Tata Motors was finally able to unveil the much-awaited Tata Nano which can sit 4 people. The Nano, which looks very similar to a Smart -has no radio, no air conditioning, no power steering for the basic model, no passenger-side mirror, and only one windshield wiper. The company has said they expect the car to revolutionize the auto industry, and analysts believe the Nano may force other manufacturers to lower their own pricing. Dealers will sell the car for 100,000 rupees — $2,500 — but customers will pay slightly more than that due to taxes and other charges. The diminutive car will have lower pollution levels than a two-wheeler and will meet all foreign safety and emission laws and environmental criteria.
